================================== term ===================================

=========================== Disk layout changes ===========================
===========================================================================
`term' and the accompanying material has grown so large that I decided to
split the distribution and to put it on two disks (I may also distribute
new `term' releases on high-density floppy disks in the future). Disk one
(this disk) contains the basic files, libraries and programs to run `term'
successfully. Disk two holds the source codes to the program and
additional programs, utilities and example ARexx script files.
================== Changes, bug fixes and enhancements ====================
===========================================================================
- The program no longer tends to crashing when, after failing to open the
serial driver on startup, a different driver is selected.
- The XPR-interface finally supports the full XPR-specs, but are there any
XPR-libraries to make use of the full specs?
- All popular terminal emulation bugs have been fixed, I also took the time
to add two ANSI sequences. The VT-52 codes are still not supported and I
don't think they ever will be.
- The user-interface finally conforms to the `User interface style guide'
guidelines.
- Under some very rare conditions (if an auto-download had been invoked and
no further input was received from the serial line) the transfer window
would never be closed. Oh well, this has been fixed.
- The program no longer crashes when, instead of a console-like output
device, `NIL:' has been selected as AmigaDOS/ARexx output device.
- Several bugs have been fixed in the ARexx-interface, up- and download
finally work and the XPR-transfer library can be selected correctly.
Some more bugs may be lurking in the interface, I don't know yet which
and how many.
- The rate settings control panel no longer accepts funny dates such as
February 31.
- The terminal beep sound is finally guaranteed not to force the program to
wait in case no vacant audio channel is available.
- If large enough, the packet window will display the entire command
history list.
- The transfer window now sports a zoom gadget -- but please don't expect
the transfer progress bars to be redrawn when the window is unzoomed.
- The status line display can be redruced to a single display line now.
- A new review buffer has been implemented as a window to be opened on the
`term' main screen. Copy & paste are supported just like in standard
console windows.
- Since it's always fun and annoys a good lot of users, I once again
changed the names of all settings files.
